Dual board certified in general surgery and plastic surgery, Farhood Goravanchi, MD, attended medical school at the university of Tabriz in 1992, where he studied internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and obstetrics. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Goravanchi completed residencies in general surgery at Shahid Beheshti university in Tehran. This involved training in general surgery for 5 years. He then transitioned into private practice in Kerman, performing general surgery procedures. Then Dr. Goravanchi completed residencies in plastic surgery at the 15 Khordad hospital, the Mofid children hospitals at Shahid Beheshti university. His last year, Dr. Goravanchi was the chief resident of plastic surgery. Dr. Goravanchi, MD has dual board certifications in general surgery and plastic surgery and a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery. He is an active part of the plastic surgery association and he has published numerous medical research papers. While he is experienced in performing a wide range of plastic surgery procedures, Dr. Goravanchi has developed a special interest in cosmetic surgery over the years. To stay current with the latest trends in the medical field, He is a active member of the following medical societies:
